Rowan Fairgrove will share the story of WILPF and the “dangerous women” who are our foremothers. She will talk about the founding and the peace efforts during WWI and various campaigns over the last 108 years.

WILPF from the international to the local levels is the focus of this meeting. We'll get a taste of what is happening, from WILPF local activists who are doing the work. 

This is the meeting for you if you want to know more about WILPF, which has not one focus, but many areas in which to engage. Peace, freedom and justice take many forms of action.

Karen Pandula, a gun violence survivor working to promote gun safety, founded the Silicon Valley Alliance for Gun Safety. She brings her message to WILPF San Jose, focusing on recent actions to encourage local cities to pass firearm safe storage ordinances.
